Ready for Winter

Most of the plants are ready for Winter to come sleeping until the next Spring comes.

Aging Red

I find it amazing that the colors of somethings seem to pop more as the item ages. While walk under this apple tree I was taking by the old red apples that remained on this tree.

Be Thankful for the Past.

Turquoise

This should be the state color you can find it everywhere. In a few months we will have Turquoise colored license plates to commemorate New Mexicos 100th year of being a state. I will bring you a photo of that in January when I come across the first one.

Adobe and Chile

Click on this one for a better view. Two things you will always find in New Mexico, Adobe walls and Chile hanging out the dry. Today I had my first taste of the New Mexican version of mashed potatoes and gravy, it was Pork in Red Chile instead of gravy served on mashed potatoes. Boy was it good!

Buddha with an Apple

This was outside of an artist studio in Dixon. This reminds me of the opening scene to a movie or maybe a story.

Over Here

While on a studio tour most of the artists had small flags. This artist chose something a little more artistic.

Looking in the Press

While at a studio opening, there were some guys making Apple Cider in a Cider Press. I like the colors in the remaining apple flesh.

After leaving the studio from yesterdays post. I came across this spot by the Chama river. I love this area.

Going for a Ride.

Recently we went north to Abiquiu for the Studio Tour. At one of the stops one of the artist truck was parked just waiting for someone to take it for a spin.
